Rise Against

January 27th is drawing closer and closer, and this is the first time I have ever struggled to get a concert ticket.  One of my favorite bands that I have yet to see, Rise Against, is coming to Chicago, and there is no chance that I won't be attending the show.  The only problem is that tickets are 100 dollars online.  That'd be pretty cool if I wasn't broke as a joke.  I've looked everywhere trying to get a ticket, and my closest chance so far is Craigslist.  I contacted someone about a ticket, but its been two days since he last contacted me back.  Even though my family's against the idea of me meeting a stranger downtown to buy a ticket, I'll be buying my train ticket and going the second that the chance is presented to me.

Almost Free

Winter break is so close, and school's finally coming to a two and a half week close.  Even though I'm really not looking forward to break, it'll be a nice escape from school for a little bit.  Christmas is always something to be excited for when someone thinks about things that they will be receiving and time that will be spent with family, and I am really looking forward to that, but other than it, breaks gonna be pretty bland.  I'll probably be up until three watching That 70's Show, then sleeping until two the next day every day.  But still, it's better than getting up at 5:30 every day.

Wednesday Oh Wednesday.

Wednesday was amazing.  Besides that I forgot there was a time change going to Fort Wayne, so I missed the first part of the concert, it was an amazing day.  With amazing moment after amazing moment, I loved the show.  I met some amazing people and I saw some amazing performance.  Next concert, December 18th. Boondox!

Three More Days

Only three more days and I will be hitting the road to go to Fort Wayne.  It is crazy to see how excited I am to be seeing Avenged Sevenfold for the fifth time.  It is the last time I will be seeing them before they go on a hiatus to record, so I'm hoping this'll be one of the most fun shows yet.  Not only do I get to see them but I get to see Hollywood Undead again.  The day should be amazing, but I am sure that school on Thursday is not going to be too great.  I only have two more concerts left in 2011, so I need to make the most of them!

Preparing For the Holidays

This was an eventful break to say the least as I had something to do every day.  Thursday was Thanksgiving, which I had to spend with my stepdad's family.  Can't say that that was too fun.  Friday was pretty much my day of peace, even though my cousin made me run to the mall with him for Black Friday.  Saturday was my second Thanksgiving as I got to spend it with my dad's family.  I got to see my brother, sister, and dad so that was a good day.  On Sunday I completely changed gears and had my family Christmas party.  My mom's side of the family has around 200 people in it, so it is a very large party.  There seems to be more and more people showing up every year, and the party is always ended by meeting Santa.  Santa was really mean this year, but it was kind of amazing.

Bad time,

Todays not my hottest day, my brothers in the hospital because something is apparently severely wrong with him, my friend is probably expelled, and I haven't got a clue what I'm doing this weekend.  To say it was a good week would certainly be false, but things could still be worse.

Two More Weeks

All I have to wait for is two more weeks until I finally get to have another great week.  We only have a three day school week.  Then I get to eat that beautiful thing called turkey.  Thanksgiving should be exciting like it always is.  Plus, I have a family Christmas that is for some reason in November.  That means a new Kottonmouth Kings and Asking Alexandria cd for me.  Also, one of my best friends finally gets out of foster care, so i can finally see her again.  To top the week off though, I get to road trip with my cousin out to Fort Wayne to go see Avenged Sevenfold, Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead, and I get to boo Black Veil Brides.  Gotta say that I can't wait!

What an Eventful Weekend

I can't say its been that great of a weekend, but it sure has been eventful.  My mom had a baby on Saturday, and I still haven't seen him.  I have had the flu all weekend, so I wasn't welcome in the hospital.  It was disappointing, but i understand that it could be harmful to the baby.  The weekend pretty much sucked because all  I could do was chill in my room and throw up, but atleast the Saints won.

Detroit, Hallowicked, and Halloween.

My weekend was spent in one of my favorite cities in the world; Detroit.  It was my first time there in years, and I completely forgot about how different the city was from where I live.  The city is a dump, and there really are not many, if any good areas.  However, I love a lot of the people of Detroit.  I went there for a show called Hallowicked, and it was probably the greatest moment of my life, besides that I almost got tear gassed because people were trying to flip a cop car.  That was still quite entertaining however.  Since I was born, I was raised on the music of the Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie.  This was yet another chance to see them perform.  This was the first time I saw them in their home, Detroit.  This show is an annual thing that they do, and that is how I plan to spend every Halloween from now on.  After spending about 16 hours on a bus in the last two days I am happy to be home, but disappointed that my Halloween had to end.

K-O-T-T-O-N-M-O-U-T-H K-I-N-G-S

Around is the thousands of fans crowding together in the House of Blues; hearing the intro but yet to see any members of the Kings.  To your right you see two drunk girls makingout, people holding up flags, and everyone screaming.  Looking forward the animations on the screen hit, and you start seeing trippy sight after trippy sight getting you into the mood that only the Kottonmouth Kings can possibly put you in.  Suddenly everything goes from slow paced and hippyish to fast paced and loud.  Then finally Johnny Richter, Dirtball, and D-Loc hit the stage running around in their usual SRH apparel.  Following them, wearing his crown, is the one and only king Daddy X.  Once they all are together, the pushing, shoving, hitting, and jumping begins from the crowd, and the people who can't take it quickly hurry to the back of the crowd.  The first song begins and everybody in the crowd is yelling K-O-T-T-O-N-M-O-U-T-H K-I-N-G-S.  Even though Lollapalooza is going on very close to the venue, everybody there knows that it is going to be a very positive and energetic night.

New Years + Cage The Elephant = Needing To Be 17

I'm currently in the process of thinking of a way to become 17, so i guess i will think out loud by blogging some ideas.  My mother questioned why i need a fake id...but its for a good cause! One of the better bands on this planet, Cage The Elephant, are doing a show at the Aragon Ballroom on New Year's Eve. That would without a doubt be the greatest New Years ever, but you need to be 17 to get in! So now I must brainstorm about ways to seem 17.  Im thinking duct taping something to the bottom of my shoes to give myself a few more inches would be a smart move...perhaps if I get a fake moustache that could help! Anything is possible...Maybe when new ideas are formed, this blog will be updated...

The First Post of Many....

Sitting bored in Journalism is leading to me doing my first post; which i apparently will have to do many of. Well......I don't really know what to write about right now; considering there is nothing really eventful going on in my life until I take the bus to Detroit.  For now though, i'll pack to end the day, and shut this down.  How uneventful of a post this was!
